Lagertha is a character in the awesome show that is Vikings ,If you haven't yet seen it you absolutely must .
Played by the incredibly talented Canadian actress katheryn Winnick.
wife of Ragnar , Lagertha is a shield maiden ,sassy ,fierce and letting no man stand in her way .
Her hair and make up is very dark and intense just like her character .
the whole viking look is so cool I just couldn't resist giving it a whirl .
These are all the products that i used to complete my look ,I began by using Bourjois healthy mix foundation provides great base as it gives coverage to areas that need it and illuminates in the process . The urban decay naked 3 palette was perfect for this look because of its neutral shades and cool undertones ,I used nooner over the entire lid as my transition shade and proceeded with the aptly titled darkside for extra smokiness ,
Do you use Real Techniques make up brushes , they have definitely changed the way I apply my make up and wouldn't be without them ,I will explain how I use each brush in my collection very soon guys in a dedicated post coming very soon .
Using the Technic contour stix I added definition to my face and neck .
All hail the contour !
I picked this fabulous trio up because they were very reasonably priced and I liked the idea of having complete control with the stick applicator ,they are so easy to use and numbered in accordance to shade and area of highlight ,cover or defititon .
Using the Bourjois kohl and contour in 71 ultra black I heavily tighlined my eyes to achieve sultry smokiness.
Eyeshadow was then applied .
Along with my go to mascara maybe line great lash in very black .
Lagertha is fair ,as am I that worked out well for me as we all know how long eyebrows can take ,so to give shape and frame to my eyes I used the brush with remaining eyeshadow darkside to define brows just a little . The MUA blusher was then applied in cupcake and my look was almost complete ,the maybe line brightening booster in 001 white was added to brow bone and inner corners of the eye to contrast with the darkness ,I blended w7 baked eyeshadow in burnt copper at the centre of the lid to make my blue eyes pop , finally I used the Barry M lipstick in Neptune to line my lips then to get a natural sheen I settled on using burnout from the naked 3 palette to blend . That worked so well for me . As I wanted the eyes to be the key feature .
I loved my hair in this style , I kinda get the whole practical but intricate vibe ,It rocked
My hair is pretty wild and blonde so with a little back combing, few twists and plaits My look was almost complete ,Dax wax was used to hold and smooth the side twists in place and once happy with the positioning I then added dreadlock cuffs to finish my viking look
